For Dogs
When we listed our home, we made pages for the moms, dads, and kids of the family. It only felt right to make one for the four-legged members too, because they matter just as much in a move. Here's what your dog gets at Sunset Haven.
No waiting on a fence company. The yard is already enclosed, so the zoomies have somewhere safe to happen the week you move in.
We live on a quiet circle inside gated Mira Lago. The morning and evening walk is calm, low-traffic, and part of the neighborhood rhythm.
The community borders a protected conservation area with walking trails, bird-watching, and native Florida wildlife — egrets, herons, and turtles are regular neighbors.
Apollo Beach Dog Park (Golf and Sea Blvd) has separate areas for small and large dogs, with benches, shade trees, and drinking water — about a 10-minute drive north. E.G. Simmons Conservation Park in Ruskin welcomes leashed dogs along its trails and shoreline.
The backyard looks out over the community pond with its fountain. Our dogs spent many an evening sitting at the fence, supervising the water.
It's a 5-bedroom, 3-bath, 3,232 sq ft home — big enough that the dogs, the kids, and the adults each get their space.
A Note for Multi-Pet Families
Mira Lago is a gated community with an HOA, so check the current pet guidelines with the community office as part of your due diligence. The fenced yard here was a big part of why this home worked for us.
